This review programme was undertaken on behalf of the West Midlands Renal Network. Quality Standards were developed for Services for Patients with End Stage Renal Failure, including transplantation. Peer review visits took place to all West Midlands renal services in 2009 except University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust which took place in July 2011 and Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Individual visit reports, a West Midlands Overview Report and an Evaluation Report are available.
The Quality Standards have since been reviewed and updated and Version 2.1 is available below.
WMQRS Quality Standards and self-assessments can be used freely by staff working in NHS organisations in the West Midlands.
